The Recap with CEO Jake Dunlap #96 | Let’s Talk Strategy
Shelby Woods
It’s common sense – you can’t run a business without a strategy. But just because you know you need a strategy doesn’t mean you know the best one.
This week’s recap focuses on strategies. Whether it’s on LinkedIn, or with your personal brand, a strategy is what’s going to help you move forward.
Watch this week’s Recap with CEO Jake Dunlap:
LinkedIn’s traffic is only increasing, which means it is where your buyers are more and more. It’s important to consider how you are going to integrate LinkedIn into your sales strategy. That is to say, there should not be a LinkedIn strategy that is independent of your call and email strategy.
Jake says it time and time again, you should have one strategy for all of it.
Pick of the Week
Jake started a new segment this week where he picks a post he finds amazing and talks you through it. This week Jake found a post by Madeline Mann and discussed the importance of personal branding. The line between personal and professional can get a little blurry on LinkedIn, but there’s no reason to be afraid of it.
Find something fun that you can transform to be part of your brand. For Madeline, it’s tangerines. There’s something unique and authentic about everybody, find what’s interesting about you and make it stand out.
#AskJakeAnything
Remember when people started asking for your opinion? Maybe it was a younger sibling or a best friend. It can be intimidating when you see people putting your advice into action.
The hard truth is nobody has it figured out. The best you can do is offer an informed opinion. Consider past experiences, data, or research you’ve done before offering up an opinion.
What is your strategy?
As you go into this weekend, think about what strategies you’ve been applying to your life. Whether in or out of the office, consider what has been working for you. It’s always helpful to reevaluate your strategies in preparation for the future.
Jake always says to look forward and be prepared. As the world gets crazier, focus on becoming comfortable with the strategies you’re using to get through life.
