12 June 2020

Shelby Woods

Our last double-digit recap has finally arrived. We’ve been reflecting on the last 98 recaps we’ve created and looking forward to our 100th.

Recap 100 will be a celebration of Jake’s 40th birthday and will be live-streamed for 100 minutes. Make sure to tune in on Friday so you don’t miss any of the surprises we have for you!

Watch this week’s The Recap with CEO Jake Dunlap:

Project W. Workshop

Jake had the opportunity to do a workshop with Project W, an organization put together to help early-stage female-founders. It is so important for female founders to be putting content on LinkedIn so other young women are able to follow them. Skaled is all about girl power!

We won’t give you the full training deck, but you can get some of his advice from our LinkedIn touchpoints guide here:

Jake’s Take | Success in Sales

What do interpersonal social skills, project management skills, and technical skills all have in common? They’re the three ingredients that make a successful salesperson.

This week, we’re challenging you to evaluate these skills in your team. How strong are they and how can you make them stronger? Jake says these are the most important skills of this decade.

In the News

Last week we shared a special recap about the injustices and brutality against black people tearing through our country and what we can do to make a change. Voices should not stop. Many companies have been taking a stand against racism and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement happening in our country right now.

Most notably,

  • Lego donated $4 million and pulled advertising for police-related products.
  • Ben & Jerry’s posted a statement on Twitter condemning white supremacy and voicing their support of the movement.

Jake emphasizes how important it is for sales leaders to not be silent, which can come in many forms. Push prejudice out of your organization and welcome diversity. Speak out about opportunities for Black people. History is watching us right now, what side do you want to be on?
