We’re also celebrating this Friday! Kansas City Chiefs beat the Houston Texans yesterday and Jake is hyped up. Maybe he manifested the win, or maybe the Chiefs strategized the outcome.

Jake’s Take | Sell More Than a Product

If you follow Jake, you’ve seen this before. 

People are less interested in products and more interested in outcomes. Instead of selling tickets to a game, sell quality time between a parent and their child. Consider what your product will do for somebody.

Jake has been saying this all week: Understand your buyer. What do they do? What do they care about? You’ll struggle to be great in sales if you haven’t adopted that mindset. 

 

In The News 

Melio, a B2B payments company raised $144 million to keep small businesses afloat. The company is designed to help small businesses manage their supplier payments. 

Why is this significant? Well, a lot of us have made the shift to working from home, which has put a strain on some small businesses. The goal of this money is to “accelerate growth and reach more customers” according to Melio’s press release. It seems Melio has been focusing on outcomes as well!
